Throughout its 15-year history, The Dovetail Project has utilized data to inform its programming and assess its impact on the lives of fathers and families. As we prepare to expand our programming in the coming years, we recognize that enhancing our internal capacity for research and evaluation will be crucial for achieving this goal in a sustainable manner. We seek a Director of Research and Evaluation with the energy, passion, vision, skills, and experience necessary to lead this vital new phase of our work. This individual will establish and develop this department from the ground up. Responsibilities will include implementing systems for monitoring and evaluating program quality; designing, executing, and analyzing surveys and other data collection methods to assess needs and shape programming; collaborating with organizational leadership to integrate research into programmatic curricula; managing research grants and budgets; and cultivating and managing strategic external partnerships. We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic about our mission and work and brings the expertise and creativity necessary to build a robust internal research capacity within our organization, thereby advancing our objectives. This position offers the opportunity to join a growing organization and leverage research expertise to enhance the lives of vulnerable fathers and families while pioneering innovative approaches within the fatherhood field.

Behavioral Health Specialist

We seek a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to provide comprehensive support services to young fathers (ages 17-24) participating in our program. These young men often come from marginalized communities and may face challenges related to poverty, trauma, and systemic barriers. The ideal candidate will possess strong case management skills, a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by this population, and the ability to connect participants with appropriate resources. This role involves guiding and supporting participants as they navigate their personal and professional goals.
